In this section of Ephesians we are instructed to imitate God by being gracious to others just as He has graced us.

Leaving our former selfish way of life behind, we are to extend grace to others as God has to us in Christ Jesus.

We are called to forsake our former way of life and live according to the truth in Jesus.

It is imperative that Christians leave behind our former manner of life which was characterized by futility and live consistently with the truth that in in Christ Jesus.

Christ is building His church by means of the gifts He has given to the members of the church.

God has gifted each member of the congregation for the work of building up the body as a whole.

Jesus, the promised Messiah has come, and He reigns over all, both now and forever.

There is one God and Father over all believers uniting us in one body, working through us, and dwelling in us.

We are exhorted by the apostle Paul to work hard to maintain the unity we have in Christ Jesus.
