When I help others, I show them Jesus.“ ‘We would like to see Jesus’ ”(John 12:21, NIV).

Knowing God changes my life. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV).

Believers encourage one another to grow in faith. “Let us not give up meeting together . . . but let us encourage one another” (Hebrews 10:25, NIV).

At church we learn that Jesus is most important.“Peter and the other apostles replied: ‘We must obey God rather than men!’” (Acts 5:29, NIV).

At church we learn of God’s power in our lives. “They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke of the word of God boldly.” Acts 4:31, NIV.

The Holy Spirit helps us enjoy worshiping with others. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”(Psalm 133:1, NIV).

God’s grace is the gift of eternal life.

“The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

I will listen to God’s gentle whisper.

“Your ears will hear a voice . . . saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it’” (Isaiah 30:21).

God listens and answers when I pray.

“The Lord hears when I call to him” (Psalm 4:3).

Even though bad things may happen, I know God loves me.

“The God of all grace . . . will himself restore you and make you strong” (1 Peter 5:10).
