God is working to reach my heart.“You are great and do marvelous deeds; you alone are God” (Psalm 86:10, NIV).

Jesus gives us hope.“Jesus Christ . . . by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope” (2 Thessalonians 2:16, NIV)

Jesus gives us joy.“ ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord’ ”(Luke 2:10, 11, NIV).

God gives perfect gifts, and His best gift is Jesus.“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father”(James 1:17, NIV).

Because God is our Friend, we are not afraid of Him. “ ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people’ “ (Luke 2:10, NIV).

Jesus gives me what I need to serve Him. “ ‘Freely you have received, freely give’ ”(Matthew 10:8, NIV).

We prepare the way for Jesus when we serve others. “ ‘You will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him’ ” (Luke 1:76, NIV).

We make friends for God when we serve others. “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others” (1 Peter 4:10, NIV).

In God’s family we all work together. “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1, NIV)

God gives us leaders to help us do great things for Him.“The Lord will do amazing things among you”(Joshua 3:5, NIV).
