Nine years ago the vision was presented of being a church where people encounter grace, grow in grace and give grace. This message will look at that vision again, with the perspective of nine years of experience.

In this message we will look at Christmas as a time to rediscover that Jesus is our source of peace. Jesus graces us with peace on the inside, peace with others and the blessedness of becoming peacemakers.  

In this 3rd Advent message we will see that the joy we have in Jesus is a delight that runs deeper than pain or pleasure. This joy is a gift of the Holy Spirit as He causes us to see the beauty of Jesus.

This week we will look at how traditions can be helpful when they enable us to receive the work that God wants to do in us and through us. 

Advent adds value to our lives when we use it to remember truths about Jesus. Remembering breaks the cycle of forgetting God and experiencing consequences. Remembering builds hope for what God will do in the future.

Traditions are helpful when they assist you in remembering, receiving, rejoicing and rediscovering truths about Jesus.

God’s people are called to go and interact, in an understandable way, with culture. In this interaction there is to be a hospitable attitude towards the stranger, those different from us. 

This week is a continuation of last week’s message on spiritual warfare. We ignore the devil to our harm, and exaggerate him to our harm. Knowing this, we take up the armor, listed in Ephesians 6, and respond to the call to spiritual battle.

In this message from Ephesians 6:10-18 we will see that the follower of God must understand the spiritual battle they are part of and put on the armor that God provides.

The follower of God should be informed about and on the watch for the return of Jesus. His return should be on our minds and hearts, and affect how His followers do life.
