This sermon looks at the passage in Acts 2:1-13, the coming of the Holy spirit.

The beginning of the book of Acts points us to an important change in the history of our faith, Jesus is going to ascend to heaven victorious over death and the Holy Spirit is going to be poured out upon all believers.  This sermon explores the anxious moments and questions as the disciples wait.

As Jesus shares the Last Supper with his disciples and prepares to die on the cross and raise from the dead, they argue over who is the greatest.  It seems silly to argue such a thing with Jesus in the room.  But what can we take from this passage in Luke 22:14-30 that helps us become more focused on the greatest (Jesus) than trying to be the greatest.

The Resurrection story as told by Luke in chapter 24.

In the Gospel of Luke, there is no mentions of palms to welcome Jesus into Jerusalem.  So, we dive into the features of Luke's telling of the story to understand his explanation of who Jesus really is as a leader and Lord.

A sermon focused on the story in Luke 16:19-31.
