Few things are as disheartening as failing to reach a significant goal.  But in our efforts to walk with God, He gives a powerful, blessed hope that can make all the difference.  When combined with good habits, this hope can strengthen the Christian to continue pressing toward the mark.  Pastor Brad Wells uses the acronym HOPE to teach these Biblical steps for success: hear, obey, prioritize, eliminate.

This week, our Walk This Way series through Isaiah brings us to chapter 62, where Israel has been identified as forsaken and desolate. But just as with the Christian today, God's plans and promises had not expired.  He is looking for someone to use.  God wants to work, but ours is to identify, intercede and inspire.

In the previous episode of the Walk This Way series through Isaiah, the challenge was to "Arise, shine."  Now, in Isaiah 61, we learn how to do just that.  Pastor Brad Wells presents seven characteristics prophesied about the Messiah.  If we will learn from these examples, we will be able to "Arise, shine," and give God glory, enabled by the Spirit of the Lord.
