Are you sick of feeling like you constantly have to be on diet, feel guilty about eating your favorite foods or burn 1000 calories in a workout to feel accomplished? Yeah me too, which is why I read Intuitive Eating by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch. This book outlines 10 principles to leading a life of happiness and satisfaction when it comes to eating and has honestly changed my relationship to food in ways that I never thought were possible. Today’s episode was just a tip of the iceberg of what the book talks about so if you liked this episode and want more, I definitely recommend reading it or watching this lecture by one of the authors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSpzf72S6IYIf you want to let me know how you liked the episode or want me to talk about another topic, reach out on Instagram @cilantrosoul.
Don't let anyone else tell you that you need to be extremely productivity during this time (or any time for that matter). We may get influenced and inspired by what we see others doing on social media and as long as you feel good in your decisions and they make you happy, by all means go for it! But don't feel bad about yourself for wanting to snuggle up in bed all day, binge a show, and finish an entire bag of popcorn (Guilty!). Thank you for listening to this week's shorter episode. If you want more of Rachel's food/fitness adventures make sure to follow @cilantrosoul on Instagram. Stay healthy everyone!
Has social distancing and quarantining got you down? Maybe you're spending 3 consecutive hours scrolling through TikTok or mindlessly picking up your phone to see what everyone else is doing from their homes. If you're having trouble taking a break from screen time and focusing on you-time then this one is for you! Everyone on the internet is talking about connecting to themselves and making the most of their time. But how can we do this if we feel stuck inside our phones and devices? It's a confusing time for all of us and you may be wanting to take this free time and learn more about yourself, discover a new hobby or pick back up on an old one. Whatever you're feeling, you are not alone. Hopefully this episode can give you what you need to get up on your feet and do the things you've had on your "To Do" list for a while. Be sure to follow Rachel on Instagram (ha ha ironic) @cilantrosoul to keep up with her shenanigans.

You are strong, capable, and exactly where you need to be. For more of Rachel, check out @cilantrosoul on Instagram.
This episode might need to be renamed "Rachel's Rant." In today's show, Rachel explains why she doesn't identify as a vegetarian anymore. She also talks about labels, meat/masculinity, and the definition of diet. Strap in and get ready to change that mindset of yours! Please share this episode and review it on Apple Podcasts to help it grow. If you want to find more of Rachel, her Instagram is @cilantrosoul.

Welcome to the Grain of Salt podcast, where we will tackle misconceptions, discuss trending topics, and create a space of support and growth while learning about ourselves along the way. Everyone is on their own path to living a healthy lifestyle and while I only started my journey a couple of years ago, I’m always looking to guide others to live their best life.
