This is the story of Gráinne Mhaol, Grace O’Malley the Queen Pirate of Ireland. Grace O'Malley was born in about 1530 On the rugged coast of Western Ireland, during a period of clan rivalries, and piracy, and she blew away the notion of a women's place in the 16th century was at home in the kitchen and raising the children.  She would command a fleet of men taking on the powers of Queen Elizabeth and the Spanish Monarchs.
