It's the idea of totalitarianism that surrounds the infamous 20th-century book, 1984. 1984 was written by George Orwell, a well known British novelist. Orwell's' ideology was against all mega higher power, surveillance, socialism, and totalitarianism. Although his novel was published in the 1940s, in 2020 it's even more relevant. The idea of "Big Brother" is a topic of discussion even today. COVID-19, the 2020 United States Presidential Election, and the CVOID-19 vaccine are a few examples where the idea of "Big Brother" might be found.
