Grand Slammin' Padres

A.J. Preller has done it again! A potential new look infield is in the making and the trade deadline is still days away. The San Diego Padres have just begun the second half of the 2021 MLB season with the conclusion of the All-Star break. They started things off by scoring a franchise record 24 runs in their first game back. However, some unfortunate outcome had the Padres suspend another game and have to play it along with the finale on the last day. The Padres scored a lot against the Nationals pitching staff and that can provide a spark for this long road trip. Follow for news and updates on my Twitter pages @GrandPadres & @derosad57 and check out my website https://derosadom.wixsite.com/grandslamminpadres to see all episodes and articles on your San Diego Padres!

The San Diego Padres have been so fun to watch when they play well but are not the same exact way going against some teams. It seems that the Padres have been underperforming against some noncontending teams in a easier, lighter schedule and San Diego cannot have that. The Padres head into the All-Star break with a 53-40 record and must improve that with different mentalities. The Slam Diego Padres have done it again! This time, a relief pitcher gets the swag chain on! Yeah, that is not a typo! In what has been a frustrating series pitching wise for the Padres, they were able to split the four game set with the Nationals. Clutch hits and pitcher grand slams help the cause. This episode goes into the Nats series and what to expect against the Rockies right before the All-Star break. Follow for news and updates on my Twitter pages @GrandPadres & @derosad57 and check out my website https://derosadom.wixsite.com/grandslamminpadres to see all episodes and articles on your San Diego Padres!

The San Diego Padres avoided getting swept by the Philadelphia Phillies after taking the series finale. Manny Machado carried the Padres on his back the whole series but did not get selected to the All-Star game despite having solid stats. This episode goes in on the Phillies series, more Padres that have made the All-Star list and what to expect out of the struggling Nationals in the next series back in San Diego. The "Slam Diego Padres" made a return to Cincinnati, Ohio in a three-game set against the Reds. The Padres previously swept the Reds in four back at home and this time were looking to do the same on the road. Some long balls, clutch hits and great pitching gave the Padres a series advantage by winning two of three. New epsiode to be uploaded after the Phillies series. Follow to tune in to  all episodes. The Padres offense got it rolling for the most part to take two out of three from the struggling Diamondbacks. Home runs in the CroneZone or to dead center, the bats were doing the talking and so was superstar Fernando Tatis Jr. Just when we've thought we have seen it all, Tatis makes history for his name yet again. His first three home run game had Petco Park rocking and also brought a clutch RBI double to seal the Padres series win. The Padres have looked much better on offense and have shown some exhaustion on the pitching end. New epsiode to be uploaded after the Reds series. Follow to tune in to all episodes. The San Diego Padres have just swept two of the hottest teams in baseball! First the Cincinnati Reds and now the L.A. Dodgers who of course, are the new rivals in town! San Diego has won most of their past match-ups versus the Dodgers and continue that trend here and prove that they are no longer the underdogs. This episode consists of the Padres making a statement, the upcoming schedule for competing NL West teams and what to expect in the next series versus the Arizona Diamondbacks who hold the worst record in Major League Baseball. New epsiode to be uploaded after the Diamondbacks series.  The San Diego Padres have made up for that tough road trip with a four game sweep against the Reds who came in winning six straight! With the Padres getting a four game sweep for the first time since 2011, it was great to see the bats on fire and the pitching staff on point yet again. Our favorite series will be back for Round 3 as the Los Angeles Dodgers will be coming to town to square up again and this time have a rivalry in full capacity! It has not been fun watching the Padres play in June so far and that trend continues as the Padres just got swept by one of the worst teams in MLB by the Colorado Rockies. With a Cincinatti Reds team coming in 13-3 and their last 16 games, it will not get any easier for the Padres to overcome this slump. Outfielders Jesse Winker and Nick Castellanos are sitting at the top three in batting average and are easily considered All Stars coming up for the Reds. The Padres are going to have to dig out of a very deep hole as of now. New episode to be published after the series against the Reds. Follow to tune in to all episodes.
