Join us this week as we start a new series called “Life in the Kingdom: Jesus and the Kingdom of Heaven”.  

Jesus’ central message was the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven. In Matthew 6, He taught us to pray “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The Kingdom is not far away but present wherever God’s will is done. 

Jesus showed this through His teaching, miracles, and life of obedience. The Kingdom changes everything—it brings forgiveness, healing, peace, and new life. 

As followers of Jesus, we’re called to live by Kingdom values and share this good news. The Kingdom of Heaven is near and ready to transform every part of life.

Dr. S. Brick Cliff, President of Nation 2 Nation Christian University, was our guest. Dr. Cliff was one of the keynote speakers for the Elim Fellowship Canada conference held here September 15-17th.  He reminded us that we are living in the greatest harvest season in history. ‘

Every day thousands are coming to Christ, and God has placed us in this generation for a reason. From John 4, we see Jesus telling His disciples to “open your eyes and look at the fields” because they are ripe for harvest. The same is true for us! There are people ready to encounter God’s love if we will see them and respond. 

Dr. Cliff urged us to look at the real needs around us, to serve people in practical ways, and trust God to open hearts. His message encouraged us to walk faithfully, give generously, and live with courage, knowing Christ holds the victory. 

Each one of us has a part to play in God’s global story of hope, transformation, and redemption.

This Sunday we took a moment to pause, breathe, and simply rest in God’s presence.

New seasons often bring busyness, excitement, and even a little anxiety. But the cross reminds us that God has already provided what we truly need.

Whether it’s rest, peace, healing, strength, or provision, we find it in Him.

At the table of communion we don’t come to show what we’ve done for God—we come to remember what He has done for us. He has held nothing back. He has given us everything in Christ.

Take it in. Rest in His presence. Carry His peace into every part of your life this week.

The Lord is calling us to the threshing floor, a place of reflection, surrender, and renewal. Just as wheat is separated from the chaff, God invites us to lay down what no longer serves us so that the good seed can remain and flourish.

This season, may we have the courage to embrace the crushing, let go of the old, and step into the new He has prepared.

We live in a culture that constantly whispers “you’re not enough” and “you don’t have enough.” But scripture reminds us that godliness with contentment is great gain. When we let discontent take root, it grows into envy, greed, and even idolatry. But when we surrender it to God, He gives us peace, gratitude, and purpose.

This week’s message challenges us to trade fear, striving, and comparison for trust in Christ. He is enough!

Following Jesus isn’t just about standing firm in faith… it’s also about walking with Him in the paradox of everyday life.

In Matthew 9–10, we see Jesus call ordinary people to walk with extraordinary authority, to live as sheep among wolves, and to be both wise as serpents and innocent as doves. It doesn’t always make sense but that’s the paradox of the Kingdom.

The path of following Jesus will stretch us, challenge us, and sometimes divide us, but it will always lead us deeper into His presence and His purposes.

Will you choose to walk with Him today?
