GRANDE LOQ EPISODE "Take Me to Your Manager: A Tiny Violins Concerto" 1.8

Listen Later

In this episode, we start with the recent news of trumpeter Keeyon Harrold and the tiny violin concerto played by a certain SoHo Karen in an evolving story of false accusations that happened a couple of days ago at the Arlo Hotel in NYC. Then we have two incredible projects to review for our year-end show. We are closing out our year with a review of a west coast classic released in 1991 called “I Wish My Brother George Was Here” by Del the Funkee Homosapien that helped to define what we know as the ‘Oakland’ sound. We will then dive into Washington, DC’s prolific polymath Oddisee’s latest album called “The Odd Cure” that is said to be hip-hop’s first pandemic masterpiece. Grandiloquent Hip Hop Show. Join our three hosts--Ian Taronji, Tia Abner, aka Prowess the Testament, and the grandiloquent one himself, Artemis Thompson, whose non-government name is Ardamus--as we talk hip hop straight to the old heads and people who love great hip hop. We are three lovers of hip hop, creators of hip hop, music fans, and educated cats who feel that there is still great hip hop being made today, and rather than crap on stuff we may not like, we prefer to lift up and give some love to the really great art that is being made in the name of the culture. #oldschoolhiphop #hiphophead #beats #shaolin #rapper #nyc #thchamber #rapmusic #mastakilla #oldschool #wutangfamily #mobbdeep #hiphopjunkie #brooklyn #wutangclan #livenation #bo #wutangclan #crushingdc #pasteurizeschef #thedistrictofmisfitsshow #dcasfuck #dcasfuckshow #crushingboo #misfits #fucktrump #washingtondc
