What God says about trouble, hardship and difficulty. Persecution and hardship are "normal" in the Christian life but what should our attitude be when we are suffering?

The 2 main things that stop us from resting is busyness and legalism so how do we rest in a God given way? We need to learn how to cultivate the capacity to hear God in times of stillness and quietness...then we will know rest.

God invests in us! He sees the potential in our lives and pours His love into each one of us. Therefore we can trust Him completely.

There is an invitation to come and feast at God's table. It is a table of joy, forgiveness, sonship, abundance and much more! He has called us to this table and to be a table for others. Are you ready?

Jesus values the steadfastness of the Philadelphian Church. Although they had little power He commends their "patient endurance" and rewards them.

The Bible tells us to have faith and believe but sometimes we find it difficult to trust God. Reasons why we might doubt God and weapons to fight fear and unbelief.

Jesus shows Himself to the Church in Philadelphia as the One who has the Key of David, who opens doors and no one can shut. What is this key and who has the authority to open and shut doors?

Rest is about trusting God. We need to allow Him to destroy the taskmasters and learn not to let them cling to us. Rest is about being free from slavery and realising that we are not God. It's harder than we think!

What should the family of God look like? We need to understand our part in this family and be responsible for it. It is important to know His word and spend time with our Father. When we come together we all have something to give!

To begin to understand the importance of rest or Shabbat we first must have a biblical understanding of work. It is in the context of work that we can begin to understand the importance of God's command to us to rest.
