I’ve been there.

My life was shattered by a traumatic family event. I felt like I’d been swept away in a powerful hurricane. I was overwhelmed with grief.

I felt lost, afraid, and isolated, which led to severe depression and anxiety.

To “wake up” from the nightmare and achieve inner wellness, I knew I had to get help. So, I did.

In therapy, I learned insights and practical techniques to overcome depression, anxiety, and trauma.

I slowly rebuilt my life. As I returned to “normal,” peace and joy entered those once-dark spaces.

After my recovery, I began another journey…

I am a Grief Recovery Specialist, a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach, and I hold a certification in Somatic Embodiment and Regulation.  I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Theory.

Using a these modalities, we’ll move through your suffering and put you on the path to healing.

Welcome to the Grapevine Wellness Show

I’m Jolyn Armstrong, Founder of Grapevine Inner Wellness (formerly Grapevine Trauma Recovery), and host of the Grapevine Wellness Show.  I’m so excited to be launching this project.  Each episode will feature me interviewing a different wellness expert from around the Reno/Tahoe region.  Each episode will focus on a different aspect of wellness, including mental and emotional health, physical health, exercise and fitness, and self-care.  Season one is already booked with guests who I know you will find fascinating, inspiring, and super knowledgeable in their area of expertise around wellness.

For the premier episode I thought it would be a great opportunity for my audience to learn a little more about who the heck Jolyn Armstrong is, to tell my story, how I personally went through a debilitating traumatic event, and how this became the catalyst to launch Grapevine Trauma Recovery, and help other trauma survivors regain peace and joy, and live the awesome life they deserve.  You’ll notice as you watch each of the episodes in this series that my business began it’s transition from Grapevine Trauma Recovery to Grapevine Inner Wellness during this season.  I appreciate you being along for the ride! 🙂
