The beginning of Gen. 1:1-2:3 is divided into 3 sections:

1. Gen 1:4-25: God prepares Earth for humans like arranging the baby room before baby’s arrival.
 a. At the end of each day and the middle of the 6th day we see: “and God saw that it was good.”

2. Gen 1:26-31: Humans created in God’s own image.
 a. We see “it was VERY good.” Something more special than 1st section

3. Gen. 2:1-3: The 7th Day Sabbath. God rested, and humans rested… but remember, they had just been created and hadn’t worked; WHY REST?!!
 a. To show humans OVER First section (Earth and living things),
 b. God taught them they were UNDER Him, their Creator and Teacher.
