Mo Wine - Wine, Mishaps and More

Grateful for Gavi

Listen Later

Tonight, we are going to be tasting the 2018 Principessa Gavia Gavi from my beloved country Italy. Gavi is grown in the Piedmont region of Italy and made from the Cortese grape.

Today's wine word of the day is "must". After the grapes are crushed and right before the fermentation process starts, the crushed grapes are known as must. So put that in your glass and sip it

Gavi is full of Pineapple and Green Apple on the nose with some minerality. It is a crisp, medium body wine with high acidity and tannins.  Gavi has a pale straw hue with hints of lemon undertones with a medium finish.

You can pair this wine with Pringles or pair it with Lobster Mac and Cheese.
