  • What to Do When Your Network is Sleepy featuring Robbie Samuels | Episode 97

“You’ve already met 80% of the people you need to know to be successful.”Robbie Samuels

In this episode of Be Who You Want to Be: Your Business Your Life, the podcast for micropreneurs designing your business and your life on your own terms, I’m joined by author, podcast host, basically all-around groovy dude, Robbie Samuels.

Robbie is a multi-passionate entrepreneur or what some would call a “multi-hyphenate.” In his case, this means he’s a professional speaker – business growth strategy coach – virtual event design consultant – executive Zoom producer – emcee – podcast host – author – virtual presentation skills trainer, and I’m likely leaving something out… He has been recognized as a “networking expert” by Harvard Business Review, Forbes, and Inc, and as an “industry expert in the field of digital event design” by JDC Events. As a virtual event design consultant, he assists organizations with bringing their events strategically online with less stress and greater participant engagement. As a business growth strategy coach, he helps his clients discover likely prospects who already know, like, and trust them so they stop struggling to launch their offer. Since 2016, he has hosted the On the Schmooze podcast and since March 2020, a weekly #NoMoreBadZoom Virtual Happy Hour.

  • Hanging Out with Handsome Men Hanging Out with Handsome Men | Episode 95

This week on Be Who You Want to Be: Your Business, Your Life, I’m sharing a replay of my conversation with the late Mark Herdering, author of Hanging Out for a Living.

In September of 2021, I was honored to be a featured trainer at Badass Direct Sales Mastery Summit. The 2 trainers prior to me inspired a change to my slide deck and my presentation (on the fly, no less). I felt prompted to share about #hangingoutwithhandsomemen.

You see, prior to the pandemic, I was social. I’d meet folks at coffee shops and spend time getting to know them. Building the relationship sometimes led to doing business together. I learned that from Mark. (Zoom has made hanging out with folks around the globe possible!!)

That’s why I’m inspired to reshare Episode 39, our conversation from January of 2017. Enjoy!
