Gratitude in the Battle | Together Church

Listen Later

Some battles don’t give you time to get your feet under you. One minute life feels steady, the next you’re staring at something that looks way bigger than you can handle. That’s exactly where King Jehoshaphat finds himself in 2 Chronicles 20. Three armies are marching toward him, and there’s no strategy, no backup, and no realistic path to victory.

His first reaction is fear. His next move is faith.

Instead of pretending he’s strong, he turns his face toward God. Instead of relying on his own plans, he calls the people to pray. And instead of leading with the army, God puts the worship team out front.

This sermon walks through why that moment matters for us today. Gratitude isn’t something you save for the end of the story. Gratitude is what anchors you in the middle of it. It steadies your heart, shifts your perspective, and makes space for God to move.

If you’re carrying a battle of your own right now, this message will remind you that you don’t fight alone. You don’t have to know the next step. You just need to know who goes with you.

Scripture: 2 Chronicles 20:1 to 22
Big Idea: Gratitude is a weapon. Praise paves the way for victory.

Whether you’re listening from here in Berkeley County or somewhere far beyond, we hope this encourages you right where you are.
