  • The Life of Joshua | Part 27
The sermon examines the allotment of land to Ephraim and Manasseh in Joshua 16-17, using their history as a spiritual lesson for believers today. It highlights how the tribes tolerated the Canaanites and complained about their inheritance, illustrating the dangers of discontentment and spiritual laziness. The preacher contrasts this with the faithful obedience required to possess the fullness of God's promises, emphasizing that victory comes through active warfare against sin and reliance on divine power. Drawing parallels between Joseph and Christ, the message encourages listeners to pursue a closer walk with God, casting down every high thing that exalts itself against Him. Ultimately, the sermon calls for personal repentance, gratitude for current blessings, and decisive action to attain higher spiritual ground.

  • The House Jesus Builds
This Sunday we celebrate one year being in our new building! As great a blessing as it is to have a place to call our own, this anniversary is a reminder of what is even more important. Jesus does not promise to build a physical building, but rather he's building a spiritual people. Jesus is building us together, as living stones, into a spiritual house for his glory. And as we thank God for the building we worship in, we celebrate even more that he is building us up upon Christ our cornerstone.

  • Remembering the Lamb
Before taking the Lord's Supper today we explore its significance by tracing its roots from the Old Testament Passover to Christ's ultimate sacrifice. It explains how Jesus fulfills the role of the Lamb of God, offering eternal redemption through His blood rather than temporary animal sacrifices. The message emphasizes that believers must remember this profound act of grace, acknowledging their former status as enemies of God and their new identity as redeemed children. By reflecting on Christ's victory over death and sin, the congregation is encouraged to remain steadfast in their faith and service. The central call is to look back at the cross with gratitude and forward to eternal life with hope all the while remembering what He has done for us.

  • Of God's Grace, Part 2
The sermon explores the transformative power of God's grace as presented in Titus 2, arguing that divine favor is the foundation of Christian identity and holy living. It details five key aspects of believers as the people of God's grace: being loved, redeemed, cleansed, owned, and inflamed with zeal for good works by Christ's sacrifice. The preacher emphasizes that this theological truth compels the proclamation of sound doctrine with authority to correct error and encourage godliness. Ultimately, the message calls listeners to embrace their identity in Christ and live out a life marked by gratitude and obedience to the gospel.

  • Hebrews 9:15-22 - "Inaugurated With Blood"
Christian, you have inherited your name from Jesus Christ. In fact, you have inherited all things from Him; the King over kings, the Lord over lords. He will have us beginning to act like princes and princesses in His royal kingdom. We are to be children of light. We will worship Him who secured these blessings, whose death enacted the last will and testament of the Father, and who established His covenant with that very same death. We owe Him all loyalty and all gratitude – even our very lives. We can agree with Isaac Watts – "love so amazing, so divine, demands my soul, my life, my all.

  • God Elected You For His Pleasure
Brothers and Sisters in the Lord: All men, from the fall of Adam, have been inherently sinful and under the just condemnation of God. But God elected some to salvation, and he works that election through the preaching of his Word. You also learned that while God elected some, God reprobates some also – by leaving them to their own wilfulness. Now why would God elect some to save them? God elected some from love for man. But there is another reason, a greater reason: God had pleasure electing to save some and he gained more pleasure from the elect after they are saved. We will examine God's pleasure from your election. Our headings are: 1. God elected you because he was pleased to do so 2. God did not elect you because you were special Our goals are: That you will have a deeper love for Yahweh, knowing you were undeserving of his electing you, and you will then endeavour to more passionately worship and work for him to bring more pleasure to him.

Sermon number 46 of Pastor Merson's series on Romans. This sermon explores the theological significance of Romans 11, emphasizing the distinct yet interconnected plans for Israel and the Gentiles.
