Today, we talk about how Abraham lived a life of Encounter.

This past Sunday we kicked off 2025 with our series: Encounter. In this series, we will look at different encounters with God in the Bible and how they can impact our lives today.

In this message, we look deep into Genesis 32 when Jacob wrestles with God. Much like Jacob, many of us wrestle against God our entire lives. In this message, we see how encountering God leads to surrender and surrender leads to blessing.

Today, we look at Noah in Genesis 6 and how he encountered God and was obedient.

Day 2 of 21 Days of Prayer - Today we are looking at Adam and Eve's encounter with God in the Garden.

The love that God has for you is an unconditional love. There is nothing you can do to make God love you any more or any less. His love for you has already been expressed - in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

4. God's love is to be emulated.

Joy is an attitude God’s people adopt based their hope in God’s love and promise. Joy is possible for us because Jesus came. In week 3 of Advent, we discuss what is biblical joy and how can we can cultivate a life that allows for joy to grow. 

We cultivate joy by knowing Jesus, serving others, and being tethered to Christ and the Church.

Peace is the theme on the second Sunday of Advent. Biblical peace, or shalom, is not the absence of struggle or pain, it is the presence of something greater that can resolve the brokenness. True peace, shalom, can only be found in the One who is called the Prince of Peace — Jesus. Peace cannot be earned or manufactured. It must be received, grown, sustained and shared.

Advent is the beginning of the church calendar, and it is a time to look back at the first coming of Jesus to prepare for His second coming. Hope is the theme of week 1. Misplaced hope leads to despair. Rightly placed hope leads to freedom and purpose because it unites us with God while we wait for the return of Jesus.

We are in a fight for the souls of all people. It is our mission to fight for those around us by Knowing God, Obeying the Holy Spirit and the Word, and Becoming more like Jesus. We become like Jesus by being discipled. If we are not international about our growth in Christ, we will grow apart from Him.
