This is the lesson I taught at WOW on August 4, 2021.  Thanks to Pastor Cichy for the acronym.  1 Peter 2:9.  Our identity is in Christ!

This is the Bible study we did on the Middle School short term and local mission trip to Shelby NC, June 21-24.  We studied John 15 - What does it mean to bear fruit?  Why is the only task mentioned of God is to CUT - either pruning or cutting off?  Ouch!  And ask WHATEVER you wish and I WILL BE DONE for you???  Really?  Anything?  What does that mean?  Come and find out what we talked about!

Hannah and David discuss how teens ought to date while in high school - the advantages and disadvantages to "dating" (aka, talking, group dating, courtship, etc...).

David teaches what the Bible says and doesn't say about Gender Identity and how we can begin to approach this complicated issue.  It is not an exhaustive discussion, but a great way to begin the discussion. 

David teaches his lesson from March 17's youth ministry event WOW (Wednesday's of Worship).  The main question is  this:  Do you think you are going to heaven?  Come and learn what Catholics say and how that is the normal way humans think about earning the right to go to heaven.  According to Catholic theology, you must belong to the Catholic church and then work off your sin either in this life or in purgatory.  However, the gospel is radically different than this.  Let's leave this event knowing for sure if you are truly going to heaven.

David interviews 3 RA's from UNCW to get insight into what it is like to live in the modern day dorms.  Listen to Raven, Lauren and Ambar who have each been involved in various ministries at CCC and have an invaluable perspective on ho Christian teens adjust to living on their own, far away from their Christian community of school, family and church.  Come and see the typical experience including the temptations to sin and the opportunities to grow in your faith on this episode of the Great Commission teen.

Today we are revisiting David's teaching from our Wednesday of Worship event on March 10.  The title is "Life and Death".  It is one of the greatest lies from Hell and the world that says that true life is found throwing off rules and parents and teachers and living for yourself and the moment.  David also includes his own personal experiences as a teen struggling through this lie.
