The parable that we commonly know as "The Good Samaritan" is one that was set up by a curious lawyer - well, one that was looking to be justified. Jesus offers a view into who we are to show compassion and love. It is less about someone's address or their blood relationship. God wants us to love the people that He loves - and that's everybody!

There are so many times when we think justice does right by ourselves. However, the Lord wants us to be sure that justice is carried out for all. Micah gives us an insight into what justice means in the life of one living for the Lord.

All too often, we are influenced and driven by the systems in which we operate. King David utilized his power and position to try to hide his adultery with Bathsheba. It was a dark time in his life and we can learn from it!

All too often we look for a leader to meet our needs at the moment. However, when selecting a leader, we need to make sure that we are seeking the direction of the Lord first. There are dire consequences for those that would ignore the guidance of the Lord!

Welcome and I pray you are safe and COVID-19 free!  So many of us have a desire to live for the Lord, but it seems to be particularly difficult at times. And I know that we think that we have some unique challenges these days, but the children of Israel as they have been delivered from Egypt have a difficult time living for the Lord who has shown His mighty acts before them. So our problem is not new and is age-old!

Mothers are special and indeed worthy of more than just one day of celebration in a year. Mothers should be celebrated each day with acts of kindness, expressions of love, and appreciation! And God gives mothers (and the rest of us) an example of how to love!

Psalm 23 is a familiar passage for many of us. I am excited about what it means to be in the flock of the LORD!

The disciple Thomas is best known for his doubts about whether the risen Lord had shown himself. However, there are some things that we can learn from his request to have proof that Jesus was alive and well!

When we are in a fearful place or stressed out, Jesus brings and declares peace. It may not look like we want it to, but peace is offered and available to us. Let's get excited at the things that Jesus desires to do in and through us!

So many of us are stuck in a cycle of temporary thinking and living - you know, concerned about things that will not last. The Lord intends for us to live with our minds focused on things that will last forever, through eternity.
