In this second part episode, I continue speaking with Roberto Miranda, a longtime friend and spiritual comrade in Boston. He founded and has pastored Congregacion Leon de Juda since 1984 - a church widely known for its very diverse composition and impacting social ministries to minority youth and Latino immigrants.  Dr. Miranda is nationally known as a religious leader and is very active in seeking to bring unity and spiritual renewal to churches from all denominations in the New England area. 

Here we discuss the place of Revelation, Reflection, the Word of God and Perseverance.  In this conversation, we plum some deep thoughts related to spiritual warfare and the importance of being Attentive to our souls and Tending well to keep them whole and alive.  "Our lives are like instruments that must be well cared for in order to last and perform well."

Lastly, we discussed our longings for the manifestation of God's glory on the earth - and the concepts of Revival and Visitation.

We had such a good time discussing spiritual things that this interview required two full-length podcasts.  In this session, we discussed Roberto's upbringing and faith development.  His mother laid a powerful foundation in his life - that still impacts him today.

We also discussed how important the Scriptures, difficult times, and suffering can be for our spiritual growth.

Sometimes we are not gaining ground because we are not aligned with our Design, Placement and Purposes from God.  

In this podcast, we look at aligning ourselves with God's Gifting.  We particularly focus on the Ascension Gifts (or APEST Gifts) expressed in Ephesians 4:11-13.

We look at the purposes of the different gifts.

We look at how each gifting - or manifestation of the Holy Spirit - functions ... what it looks like in real life.

We also consider how we can identify and grow in the expression of these gifts that God has appointed.

Finally, we consider the synergy of the Gifts and Fruit of the Holy Spirit ... how they meld together into a rounded and whole expression of God's Kingdom.

The goal is to continue to grow in your own unique expression of God's gifting and fruit, representing Him will and extending His Kingdom in your spheres of influence.

In this episode, I get to speak with Paulea Mooney-McCoy, a longtime friend and a spiritual leader in Boston.  Paulea teaches at Bunker Hill college in Boston, consults a Community Development Corporation and coaches many people, non-profits and churches concerning direction, spiritual practices and discernment.  She also is a certified StrengthsFinder coach.

We honed in on some of the spiritual growth influences and influencers in Paulea's life.  We also touched how painful moments and stages are often very useful in our growth.  

We discussed how the Word (Bible), Holy Spirit Power and Intimacy with God have come together in Paulea's Kingdom experience and have forged her spirituality.  The Truth and contemplative practices have made her into the solid spiritual leader that she is.

She also described some of the transitions she is seeing in the world and in the Body of Christ.

• Are you aware of the state of your soul?
• Do you know how to attend to your soul?
• Are you trustworthy in how you attend to the soul of others?

These are VERY important questions that are rarely practically discussed.  And, unfortunately, even many ministers and pastors have not received training around this topic.

We need to learn how to be still, relax and cease from striving - so we can know God and receive healing for our souls. (Psalm 46:10)

We need to learn to access repentance, rest, quietness and trust so we can be renewed in God and of benefit to others. (Isaiah 30:15)

In this podcast we discuss come tips and practices that can help you become aware of the state of your soul, attend to it well and be trustworthy with the souls of others.

• Biblical Truth and Application
• Contemplative Spiritual Formation

Usually, we come to faith and are discipled in one (or possibly two) of these streams.  However, for us to mature as Christ-followers we need to learn how to receive from and move in the power of all three streams.  This podcast will be devoted to the synergy that can be achieved through the integration of these streams in our lives.
