Biblical Guide to Life #30: The Holy Eucharist - Source and Summit of Christian Life| No Life Possible without the Holy Eucharist (St. Padre Pio) John 6:57

"The Most Holy Eucharist is the Source and Summit of Christian Life."

Without it, life is impossible.

We cannot usually see the reality of the Most Holy Eucharist.

Quotes on it by many Saints speak volumes about it.

St. Padre Pio says:

“It would be easier for the world

to survive without the sun

than to do without the Holy Eucharistic Celebration."

Is he very serious about what he said?

He must be!

Because Jesus said,

"Just as the living Father sent me,

and I live because of the Father,

so whoever eats me will live because of me." (John 6:57)

Let's live this reality and take advantage of it to the maximum!

Biblical Guide to Life #29: The Call to Greatness with St. John Paul II

God created us in His own image and likeness.

He has endowed us with immense power to excel for His glory.

Very often, most of us are tempted to be satisfied with mediocrity.

That's why  St. John Paul II used to say,

"डरो मत। सामान्यता से संतुष्ट मत रहो।

नाव गहरे पानी में ले चलो

और मछलियाँ पकड़ने के लिए अपने जाल डालो।"

"Do not be afraid. Do not be satisfied with mediocrity. Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch."

This is possible when we are with Jesus; because He's ALWAYS with us.

Great things (miracles) happen when God mixes with us!

Simon Peter recognised and was with Jesus and so could catch a lot of fish.

Because he had followed the instruction of Jesus,

नाव गहरे पानी में ले चलो

और मछलियाँ पकड़ने के लिए अपने जाल डालो।

सन्त लूकस 5:4

“Put out into the deep water and let down your nets for a catch.” - Luke 5:4

Let's strive for greatness - godliness by cooperating with Jesus!

Bible Verse & Prayer for the Day: "I am thirsty" (St. Mother Theresa's Reflection)

Have you ever been to a Convent of Missionaries of Charity Sisters (St. Mother Theresa's Congregation)?

There's a statement on the walls of the chapels.

"I thirst" (John 19:28).

It is written following the direction of St. Mother Theresa.

God has a passionate love for you and me.

It was that passionate love that brought Him to our level.

Jesus, the God-Man, thirsts for YOU!

Do you know where He is kept standing?

Jesus says,

"Listen!

I am standing at the door, knocking;

if you hear my voice and open the door,

I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me" (Revelation 3:20).

St. Mother Theresa heard Jesus telling her this statement, "I thirst".

She wrote a letter based on that revelation.

Have you spent your life accumulating and gaining the world or gaining life?

St. Ignatius of Loyola used to ask a question to St. Francis Xavier.

I would like to ask you the same question:

"मनुष्य को इससे क्या लाभ

यदि वह सारा संसार

तो प्राप्त कर ले,

लेकिन अपना जीवन

ही गँवा दे?"

(सन्त मारकुस 8:36)

For what will it profit them (YOU)

to gain the whole world

and forfeit their (YOUR) life?

Indeed, what can they (YOU) give

in return for their (YOUR) life? (Mark 8:36-37)

Enter into the sanctuary of your being, the innermost being where Jesus is awaiting you.

Have a chat with Him. He would definitely help you find the answer.

Mary in the Bible: Mary's Song | Magnificat | Mary's Song of Praise | Blessed Virgin's Song

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Mother of God. There are so many other titles attributed to her as used in the Litany. In the series titled, “Mary in the Bible”, Fr. C. George Mary Claret leads the viewers in the footsteps of Mary in the Bible.

“Mary in the Bible: Mary's Song” is the Fourth in the series.

Mary's Song, the Magnificat as famously known, is narrated in the Gospel according to St. Luke 46-55.

The song of Hannah found in 1 Samuel 2:1-10, is similar to the Magnificat. You can compare both of them and see the differences.
