Her area of expertise is in public relations, marketing, corporate communications, diversity, equity and inclusion, global communications crisis, and issues management. She is an award-winning marketing communications expert who previously served as the executive vice president of client relations for a boutique agency in Chicago. Her brand experience includes Cox Communications, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Association Nielsen Dow Chemical, Nike Chicago, City of Chicago, and several more in various industries.
Christina was named one of PRWeek’s 40 under 40, a prestigious list of top professionals in the public relations industry. She has received several industry awards from the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Publicity Club of Chicago (PCC), Bulldog Reporter, PRNews, and PR Week. She was named to the Chicago Defender Women of Excellence list, and was recognized as a WVON and Ariel Investments Top 40 under 40 Gamechanger of Chicago.
She and her husband live in Chicago and Atlanta. She has a BS in journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and her MA in Strategic Communication from the University of Missouri, Columbia School of Journalism.

Here’s Just a Taste of This Episode’s Talking PointsThe Reason Behind Being Resistant to ChangeWe discussed Christina’s resistance to change. She mentioned “Commitment” as being the main problem before completely pushing through the program.
Stepping back and asking herself about perspective and mindset to move forward was the greatest mind shift she had to undo. She had to stop negative thinking, having limiting beliefs, and pessimism.

Perfectionism, Suffocates your DreamsWe have shared experiences about perfectionism and how “procrastination” is tied to perfectionism. People who are very well accomplished try to do everything right, but it might delay them instead of helping them enjoy and make things easier.
