Where is God when you can’t feel Him?

We often assume God is absent when we can’t see Him, hear Him, or sense Him. But Jesus gives His disciples—and us—a different promise: you are not alone.

In this first message of our series on the Holy Spirit, we step into the final conversation Jesus had with His disciples before the cross. They were confused, afraid, and facing a future they couldn't understand. Jesus knew He was leaving, but He promised that another Advocate would come—the Holy Spirit who would never leave them.

The Holy Spirit is not simply a feeling, a force, or an occasional spiritual experience. He is God's abiding presence with us and in us.

As we begin this journey, we'll explore a simple but life-changing possibility: the question isn't always whether God is present or actively working. Sometimes the deeper question is whether we are paying attention.

How to Hold On to a Future God Is Still Writing

2 Kings 24:8–12; 25:27–30

What do you do when life doesn't turn out the way you hoped?

Jehoiachin was only eighteen years old when he became king of Judah. He had the throne, the title, and an entire future ahead of him. Three months later, he lost it all and was taken to Babylon as a prisoner.

For thirty-seven years, he lived in captivity.

Then, unexpectedly, his circumstances changed.

This final message in our Kingdoms Summer Bible Series reminds us that failure, loss, consequences, and disappointment do not have to be the final chapter of our story.

A chapter can end without God's promise ending.

You may lose something without God losing you. You may find yourself somewhere you never wanted to be and still discover that God is present and working.

Repentance: How to Return to What Matters Most

Sometimes life gets cluttered. What once mattered most can become buried beneath busyness, disappointment, compromise, and the demands of everyday life.

In 2 Kings 23:1–9, King Josiah discovers that God's Word has been neglected and God's people have drifted. His response shows us that repentance isn't simply feeling bad about where we've been—it's turning back toward God and making room for what matters most.

In this episode, we'll explore how renewal begins with remembering God's Word, removing what competes for our hearts, and reorienting our lives around God.

Who makes a lasting difference? Not always the most gifted, impressive, or influential. Often, it's the people who simply keep walking with God after the emotional moment has passed.

In 2 Kings 2:9–14, Elijah leaves in a whirlwind, but Elisha is left with grief, responsibility, a cloak, a river—and God. This episode explores how God works through ordinary faithfulness and why a meaningful life isn't built on hype, applause, or spectacular moments, but on abiding, following, loving, serving, and faithfully participating with God over time.

You don't have to be impressive to matter. You can simply walk with God—and trust Him to do something beautiful with your ordinary life.

This is the final myth we look at with the Pharisees. We take a look at where the connection between Pharisee and the word hypocrite. We'll discover how Jesus felt about how the Pharisees were living lives that looked good on the outside but were simply superficial.
