Greater than Jacob - John 4:1-42
Preached by: Ptr. Enteng Ramoneda
Through the story of the Samaritan woman, we saw that Jesus revealed Himself as the Christ not only to Israel but also beyond, showing that God’s plan has always been to gather a people for Himself who will worship in spirit and truth. The sermon is a reminder to examine what matters to us the most. While we often focus on physical needs, Jesus shows that doing the will of God and bringing salvation to others is of much greater importance. Even when we did not care for our own salvation, Christ came and died for us. Church, now is the time of harvest. Salvation has been accomplished, and God is moving in the hearts of many. The call is clear: to not be distracted by lesser things, but instead lift our eyes to things eternal, and take part in His work. The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming (he who is called Christ). When he comes, he will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am he.” (John 4:25-26)
