For several years I was the artist for the American Bear Association in Orr, Mn. which provided me the unique opportunity to meet and draw black bears up close and personal! The form of art I prefer over all others is pen & inkthe black and white process used to illustrate this book. Ive spent a lot of time drawing pets in pen & inkI think Ive drawn about every breed of dog imaginable. It seems, however that ever since Nancy Orlando asked me to illustrate her first childrens book, A Garden! A Garden! all Ive been doing is illustrating childrens books. (Its been great.) Great purchase

Bought this book for my nephew for Christmas this year, who incidentally had a pug with one eye (what are the chances?). These are great books. They're age appropriate, and they always communicate a good message while sticking to the story. This is the third one I've bought, and I am planning on buying them all. Please write more Sharron, I'll buy them!

Fascinated

This might be a children's book but it surely kept my attention. The stories are delightful and fascinating. The facts about each country, informational even for an adult. I highly recommend this book if you want to instill in your children a love for travel and an interest in other cultures and traditions. This book is a valuable treasure and a worthwhile purchase! Your children will want to read and reread it.

New countries, new cultures

First off, the illustrations are warm and eye catching to children

and offer a nice break from the over animation seen on TV.

Secondly, the book is a wonderful way to introduce any child to the quilt

of European nations and cultures in this more and more intertwined world.

These types of books can make a great cross over to a movie.

Very catchy song!

This is a fascinating audiobook! My children have learned to enjoy narrated audiobooks, but this one is really cool, lots of special effects and skilfull acting! We specially liked the song at the end. It's very catchy!

My 3 yo loved it!

My daughter loved the story and the hand drawn illustrations. I appreciate both of these and that proceeds will help feed an American Girl habit of a girl who is industrious enough to try and earn it herself.
