This excellent Doctorate of Ministry program begins in August 2021. After completion of the program, the students would have a usable model of ministry within their respective ministerial context. They will also be able to strengthen community relationships. The areas addressed include, but are not limited to, pastoral care in police/law enforcement marriages, pastoral care when officers are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, pastoral care when civilians die in the control of officers. During this day and age, these types of conversations need to be had by a professional police officer, Chaplain, Doctor and professor who works in the city of Chicago on a daily basis. Her areas of expertise include individual and marriage counseling, crisis ministry, workshop facilitation as well as department requests for on-the-scene crisis intervention. She advocates and addresses psychological, spiritual, and developmental needs of law enforcement personnel and to related parties. Kimberly has been a natural fit in the Chaplains' Police Unit since 2011. She is a deacon in full connection to the United Methodist Church, Northern Illinois Conference and she is active in ministry in her local church.
