Here is the 11 minute mini movie I promised to upload. Basically its a vlog of the hike and you can see the volcano eruption and lava flows in motion. Originally its filmed in 4K but its a bit sad that at the moment threespeak does not support that. Still 1080p is good enough.

Some time has passed since I showed you the photos of the end of the season crazy northern lights action. I also promised to post a time-lapse I took og this event. Well, I forgot about it somehow :D Anyways, now its here.

I recently published a post where I showed you the northern lights I saw about a week ago, you can find the post here if you missed it On the Chase of Northern Lights. I also, told that I took some videos of aurora in action and now I have put together a short, 1-minute video.

The first clips are really grainy because to get a live video I had to pump up the ISO setting up to a whopping 102 000 ISO. The result is not too pleasant but you can clearly see how northern lights are dancing in the sky. I sped up the videoclips by 3x to make it more apparent.

Clips at the end of the video are taken as a time-lapse video the other night when the aurora activity wasnt as high as the first night but it was still visible and dancing in the sky. I slowed these clips down about 40% because I only got around 7 seconds of footage per clip after every 25 minutes of capturing.

Oh, its been a while since I last uploaded a video here.

This video will show you the conditions we had had on the road and just outside. The first and second clip just shows the amazing winter weather we had when driving there to Saaremaa.

When driving back, the conditions were so bad that at times I literalliy saw nothing on the road. Then there are walls of snow that makes the car slide at times. Strong wind, heavy snowfall is a recepy for disaster everywhere on the road and one should really consider not to go driving. We didnt have a choice unfortunately, had to be back home this evening.

In this video you also see how I slide into a pile of snow on a roundabout due to extremely slippery black ice. Fortunately, the snow was soft there. You also see a car wreck, two cars had made a head on collision somehow.

For this video I used my phone, car dash cam and my mirrorless camera at the end of the video when I arrived back to take some clips of the conditions. Dont mind the music and rumbling bass in das cam videos, It fails to record bass well. I decided not to start replacing audio.
