You may remember Evangelia joined this very show back in 2021 about a week before she announced her huge collaboration with Fouriera.

A lot has changed since she originally came on the show, and I like to remind her that maybe just maybe, coming on this show was what got everything rolling for her! Jokes aside though, she’s really taken off, and its been really fun to watch.

Evangelia is currently performing at Teatro on a residency, opening for two iconic Greek singers, none other than Saki Rouvas and Konstantinos Argiros. Arguably two of Greece’s most successful singers.

I got to catch up with Evangelia in Greece in November a few days before her first week at Teatro, and you can just see the excitement of what’s about to come. Performing in front of thousands twice a week!

This interview was recorded in January 2023, about 2 months into her residency, so let’s jump into this conversation so Evangelia can fill you in on what’s happening!

In this episode of Greece Chats I am joined by Arianna Papalexopoulos. Known on social media as TwinGirlPeeks!

A San Francisco native of Greek and Italian descent, Arianna Papalexopoulos currently resides in West Hollywood, California. Arianna trained at the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in San Francisco and then made her move to Los Angeles where she graduated from UCLA's School of Theater, Film, and Television. She has performed at SF Sketchfest with San Francisco's comedy troupe, Killing My Lobster, and her latest voice over booking was for Uber Safety. She is currently developing a feature length film while her two short films that she co-produced circulate in various film festivals, including the Napa Valley Film Festival and San Francisco Greek Film Festival. Comedy is her strength and she continuously writes, acts, and produces sketches for her channel, TwinGirlPeeks.WhoHAHA, Comedy Cake, FunnyOrDie are amongst the various comedy platforms that have featured Arianna's work. Arianna is a Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco local hire. In addition, she received her Master's Degree from USC Annenberg School of Communication and Journalism. Apart from performing, you can find Arianna on the islands or mountains of Greece, cheering on the Golden State Warriors, or getting lost off the 101 Freeway.

George Stroumboulis is an entrepreneur to the core, having launched several ventures across multiple industries and international markets. He has held senior-level positions at progressive companies and government institutions, both domestically and internationally, building an extensive portfolio of business know-how over the years and driving profit-generating results. Notable experiences include the creation of a reality television program featuring Europe’s real estate to a global audience, being part of the founding team of a high-tech LED lighting startup that went public on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), and launching the first ever real estate website focusing on the Greek market targeting foreign investors. This all led to his current professional passion, Ideoli Group, that he co-founded with his business partner. A multinational manufacturing company that helps international clients outfit their new spaces with custom lighting and interior products.

After some time in Nassau, Bahamas, he embarked on his own American Dream, beginning in West Palm Beach, Florida, and ultimately settling on the Gulf Coast. He splits his time between the US and Greece.

In this episode of Greece Chats I am joined by Christina Mavronas.

Christina is a Greek-American actor and writer born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. 

She first began this journey via improv at the Kimball Studio, and after years of exploring this craft, she finally decided to take an even deeper plunge as an actor. She went on to study the Meisner technique at the Maggie Flanigan Studio which is where she fully unearthed her passion for the human condition and the desire to bring worlds to life. 

As Christina continued to work on her craft, she was fortunate to work on acting projects and have the incredible privilege of receiving  callbacks from directors such as Ava DuVernay and Dee Reese, yet she still craved a more proactive approach for her career as an actor. Which is why she began learning and practicing the art of screenwriting. This gave her the tools she needed to help transforms her ideas into short films and sketches for others to see.

Her creations often are inspired by her own experiences - relating to NYC moments, dating, immigrant families, and more, which have been showcased by platforms such as @NewYorkers, @Yerr.NYC, Ocktober Film Festival and beyond. She is passionate about bringing her community together and often highlights fellow creatives on her social channels. 

Creating content which is authentic to her and can be shared with her community is one of the many things that bring her joy and she can’t wait to share future projects that are in the pipeline.  You can find Christina at @christinamavronas on both Instagram and TikTok where you can laugh with her and be kept in the loop for her future projects.

Christopher is a director, writer and producer. His most recent work includes the acclaimed feature documentary, King Otto (2022) which was released theatrically and on streaming platforms worldwide. He has previously worked with HBO Documentaries, HBO Sports and ESPN Films' Emmy Award winning '30 for 30' series. His work has also premiered at film festivals like South by Southwest and the Tribeca Film Festival. He is American of Greek descent and is a graduate of New York University's Tisch School of the Arts film program.

The film tells the story of the Greek National Football Team's miracle triumph at the 2004 European Championships. The 300 - 1 rank outsiders, Greece, had never previously won a game or even scored a goal in a major international football tournament, but managed to single handedly knock off the giants of European football to achieve one of the biggest shocks in sports history. The team was led by legendary German coach, Otto Rehhagel, who left everything he knew behind in his own country to take on the underachieving Greek National Team. This is the story of how these two contrasting cultures, German and Greek, came together to speak the same language to write a new chapter in Greek mythology.
