In Romans 6:1-11, we learn that the Gospel is never an excuse to sin. We are dead to sin and alive in Christ. We need to think rightly about our relationship to sin.

In Romans 5:12-21, we learn that in Christ's death, sin and death are undone.

In Romans 5:6-11, we learn that God's love is different. He died for sinners, He turned enemies into friends, He will save us from His wrath, so we boast in Him alone.

In Romans 5:3-5, we learn that trials do not derail us, because God is working through them. We can be confident in our trials. God uses our trials for good and the Gospel guarantees God's love for us.

In Romans 5:1-2, we learn that the Gospel is good news because it brings good results and because of the Gospel, we rejoice in the hope of God's glory.

In Romans 4:13-25, we learn that God's promise is not based on law. Salvation is by faith alone because it rests on God who promises the impossible and our assurance of salvation is based on Jesus' death and resurrection.

In Romans 4:1-12, we learn that Christ's righteousness is our righteousness.

In Romans 3:27-31, we learn that salvation by faith alone rules out boasting, racism and reckless living.

In Romans 3:21-26, we learn that righteousness only comes by faith, any sinner can be redeemed, and the cross proves that God is righteous when He saves.

In Romans 3:9-20, we learn that God never judges us unfairly and His standards are perfectly just.
