In Hebrews 10:24-25, we learn that we grow as disciples when we love and stir up one another towards agape love and good works. The isolated believer is an easy target for attacks from the enemy. Christ's second coming should create urgency in our discipleship.

In Matthew 28:18-20, we learn that Christ's authority means discipleship is necessary. Discipleship is not a spiritual chore but rather a spiritual blessing. Christ's presence enables us to engage in discipleship.

In Romans 6:15-23, we learn that grace produces righteousness, not sin and we should offer all of ourselves to God, and death doesn't "become" believers.

In Romans 6:12-14, we learn that we are no longer slaves to sin. This is war. Don't be a weapon for unrighteousness. Be a weapon for righteousness. Sin cannot win!

In Romans 6:1-11, we learn that the Gospel is never an excuse to sin. We are dead to sin and alive in Christ. We need to think rightly about our relationship to sin.

In Romans 5:12-21, we learn that in Christ's death, sin and death are undone.

In Romans 5:6-11, we learn that God's love is different. He died for sinners, He turned enemies into friends, He will save us from His wrath, so we boast in Him alone.

In Romans 5:3-5, we learn that trials do not derail us, because God is working through them. We can be confident in our trials. God uses our trials for good and the Gospel guarantees God's love for us.

In Romans 5:1-2, we learn that the Gospel is good news because it brings good results and because of the Gospel, we rejoice in the hope of God's glory.

In Romans 4:13-25, we learn that God's promise is not based on law. Salvation is by faith alone because it rests on God who promises the impossible and our assurance of salvation is based on Jesus' death and resurrection.
