Join me to learn this strategy for identifying 10 exemplary projects. I'll show you how I'm using lessons from the #teamtrees campaign that YouTuber Mr. Beast started to raise money to plant 20 million trees in just eight weeks. Reducing waste seems like it should be easy, but let's face it. It's complicated! That's why Eco-Cycle, a zero waste nonprofit in Colorado, has developed a new series of videos to cut through the confusion.
The series is a collaboration between COPIRG, Environment Colorado, Sierra Club, NRDC, and Denver Compost Challenge. The videos include both English and Spanish versions specifically for Denver.
The videos cover everything from where our stuff comes from, to details of why and how to recycle and compost, and the problems with plastics.
In the podcast, Jasmin also highlighted the Denver Recycling Directory. This is a handy resource is you want to know where to recycle anything from aerosol cans and action figures, to yard waste and yoga mats.

There is a one-to-one correlation between teams that are making a big impact and having regular meetings.
Why do so many people avoid having regular meetings?
How can you schedule meetings when everyone has different schedules?
How many meetings should you have and should everyone be in the same meeting?
In my opinion, it's unkind to reach out and raise awareness without inviting people to join meetings where they can talk about it and collaborate.
What can we learn from how nature organizes?
What was Michael Moore trying to do by dropping the film Planet of the Humans on the eve of the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day?
Well, one thing he did was make a bunch of environmentalists very angry. This is a very complicated movie that has some valuable insights, along with plenty of inaccurate information, personal attacks and a depressing, abrupt ending.
That was his take. Tune in to hear mine.
