In this episode, I talk with Ethan Hochstein, the Horticultural Manager for the Indianapolis Cultural Trail. He is excited to see the ICT become better than ever over the next few years and knows he has a big part to play in the future of its design and awareness among Naptowners. Greenscape Geeks talked with Brock Harpur, the Assistant Professor in Pollinator Biology at Purdue University. He is a native of British Columbia, Canada, and a specialist in honey bee genetics and the evolution of social insects. He leads the honey bee research program plus provides extension expertise to bee-keepers both professional and amateur, as well as citizens concerned about bees and pollinator conservation. We talked with him about the threats we may face if bee colonies collapse, some common misconceptions about bees, and ways for listeners to get involved in the buzz!
