This morning, Greg and Dan brought in Amy McCoy, executive director of Pekin Area Chamber of Commerce, and Gary Gillis, Cluemaster and Grand Marshal of the medallion hunt for 37 years, for Pekin’s Marigold Festival.

This Monday, the Jimmy John’s Marigold Medallion Hunt kicks off on Monday, August 26th. The medallion will be hidden somewhere in a public location in Pekin, IL. Since 1978, the hunt has been a city-wide hunt for a small disc in the Pekin area, with clues being dropped by the Cluemaster from Monday to Saturday morning, or until it is found. The reward for whoever finds the medallion will be given $1,500 courtesy of Jimmy John’s. This year's medallion was designed by Pekin Community High School student Dana Snyder.

This morning, Greg and Dan had the coach of Bradley University’s Men's Soccer team, Tim Regan, on the show.

After a successful college and professional athletic career and 8 years on Bradley’s coaching staff, Tim Regan this year became the team's head coach. Coach Regan shared his perspective on the challenges and advantages of recruiting athletes to Bradley, gave us an update on the team’s upcoming season, and how the team plans to use the Bowling Song.

This Saturday, KBStrong will be hosting the 6th annual BrownFest in Washington. This morning, Greg and Dan had Denise Beattie from the new live performance group We Play In Peoria.

We Play In Peoria is a live radio play performance group based out of Peoria. This Saturday, the group will be performing from 2-3 pm at the Irish Fest, in the Cultural Village. They will be performing classic plays from Fibber McGee and Molly, two Peoria natives, and Burns and Allen.

OLLI to celebrate their 30th year anniversary is hosting a Luncheon on Wednesday, September 18th. This morning, Greg and Dan invited Bradley professor and executive director of the Peoria Area World Affairs Council (PAWAC) Angela Weck.

Ms. Weck came in to inform and update us about that region. Recently, Ukraine has invaded Russian territory and has been making impressive progress. Angela tells us about the thought process of Russia’s leadership, and Putin, and sharing perspective on the death toll that this has taken on the Ukrainian and Russian population. On a lighter note, Angela also shared about the PAWAC’s recent event with General Patraeus that happened last Monday at the Par-A-Dice Hotel.

This morning, Greg and Dan gave Blake Stubbs, the lead for the last Cornstock show of the season, Mousetrap.

Opening this Friday, Mousetrap is the longest running play in history. Written by Agatha Christie, Mousetrap is a gripping murder-mystery classic. Blake shared with us that although he is under a strict agreement with his cast members to not give away any spoilers, the show will have us questioning every member of the cast as the culprit.

In order to solve the question of who did it, go see the show at Cornstock in Laura Bradley Park. The show opens this Friday, August 23rd, and then runs through Sunday the 25th, with shows picking back up from August 28-31st, all shows at 7:30 pm.
