Our vision at Metro has been the same for over 20 years: Changed Hearts, Changed Lives, Changed World.

In 1987 I was given a vision for the Westside of Los Angeles. I say this confidently, but with fear and trembling because the vision is God’s and not my own. Soon after, I felt compelled to write it down after reading a scripture in Habbakuk:

“ …Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Hab. 2:2-3(NKJ)

Unsure how best to communicate it, I wrote what I saw through the eyes of a fictional reporter for the L.A. Times in the year 2000-something. Excerpts from this Vision Story include:

Noble McIntyre was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1970. In 1971 his family moved to a small town in western Oklahoma called Burns Flat. After graduating as Valedictorian from high school in 1988 and as just 1 of 100 Oklahoma Academic All-Staters in the entire state, Noble attended Oklahoma Baptist University where he graduated with honors and a degree in Accounting with a minor in Business. After graduating from OBU in 1992, he then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law and received his juris-doctorate degree in May 1995. A great conversation with a very generous attorney from Oklahoma City. We learn here how Noble's great, great grandfather was able to impact the next four generations!
