On this Friday before Resurrection Sunday, we look forward a few chapters from our place in Mark to spend some time reflecting on when the King came and was coronated with thorns when we nailed this king to a cross for insurrection.

In Mark 12, Jesus is in a confrontation with religious leaders where his authority is challenged. They perceive that his parable of the wicked tenants is against them, and they respond with trap questions regarding taxes and the resurrection.

Pastor Mike Dahl brings a message from chapter 11 of the gospel of Mark, where Jesus cleanses the temple and curses the fig tree.

In chapter 11 of Mark, we look at the scene where Jesus enters Jerusalem to shouts of "Save us!" followed by a strange cursing of a fig tree that didn't have fruit when it wasn't the season for figs.
