Death knocks on the door of every home, as it has been for centuries. What comes after death can be confusing but it's a natural mechanism to get over sudden pain and loss, it's called grief.
Grief can be brief, prolonged or it can even last a lifetime. Guilt on the other hand can be so much like grief in the sense that both are painful, but guilt comes to eat the very core of your soul's existence by persistently reminding you of how much you disappointed the deceased person.
Oftentimes, many may not realise the importance of the Holy Spirit in that process, however, when invited, He gladly comforts the soul in need of soothing.
