Grief is a natural human emotion and one we often repress culturally and societally because we don’t know how to talk to each other about it or ask for help.

We all know how to grieve and mourn.

It’s within us all.

And that’s why this episode is so important.

Many of us will turn to alcohol or other unhealthy substances and behaviours to deal with these feelings, and there is another way.

This episode is for you, whether you are currently facing the spectre of loss or have experienced loss through losing loved ones or animals, divorce, or even ending your relationship with alcohol.

Lisa Dinhofer, MA, CT, is known as 'The Crisis Tamer', working with subject matter and circumstances most people turn away from. She mentors companies through traumatic and destabilizing events, workplace abuse and crisis communications to regain stability, establish a new normal and build resilience. She draws from those first-hand experiences of trauma in the workplace and lessons learned from other workplace tragedies. Lisa was an employee at the World Trade Center during the 1993 bombing and was still working in NYC during 9/11.

Lisa is a certified Thanatologist with a sub-speciality in trauma, trained counsellor, trained mediator and crisis communication specialist with 18+ years of professional experience training, consulting, coaching, debriefing and public speaking.

She is frequently called upon for debriefing and strategic advisement following emergent workplace events such as employee death. For the last year, Lisa has been a sought after consultant and facilitator in response to COVID-19 and other simultaneous stressors on organizational life.
