Let's dig into the different types of prayer: 

Corporate or Community Prayers, find people who can pray for you, who you can pray for and with. It's important that we have people that we can gather together with in community to pray for one another and our communities.

Secret or Intimate Prayers: We need to take time to have one on one prayers with God. If the only time you pray is with your family or your church, or to bless your food, I want to challenge you to set time aside for time with the Father. 

Matthew 6:5-6

Supplication, petition or requests prayers: Don't be afraid to ask God for what you need or want. He WANTS to hear from you about the big things and the little things. 

1 John 15:14-15

On today's episode I want to ask you a question about prayer: is it your first response or last resort?

How often do we wait until we become desperate before we take whatever it is to God?

How do we make prayer a priority?  1. Set time to pray 

2. Avoid Distractions

3. Find Accountability 

4. Use a prayer journal 

5. (saved the best for last) Ask God for help. 

Do you ever feel stressed out, worried, anxious, or fearful? 

If anxiety feels like your best friend, today we are taking steps to break that relationship off. 

God wants us to not just talk to Him about it but tell Him exactly what it is that is bothering us and causing us harm. When we surrender it to Him, He is able to give us peace that we can live with and walk in. Peace that protects our hearts and minds, peace that doesn't run off at the first sign of chaos, confusion or calamity. 

It's time we shift our attitude from one of grumbling, complaining, murmuring and arguing to that of gratitude and thanksgiving.

Say what? Yep, it's true. 

Will it be hard? YES 

Can we do it? YES we can and we will, because when we are obedient to God's commands we get the reward.
