I had an awesome conversation with Geophyte's Executive Director, Tully O'Regan, who is passionate about environmental journalism and political activism.
We discussed the founding of Geophyte, a grassroots organisation dedicated to promoting environmental awareness through storytelling; the coal industry in Australia compared to European approaches to climate policy; and the economic implications of continued reliance on coal. Tully also shared insights on his upcoming documentary, Small Town Coal, and spoke about the importance of creativity and personal growth.
He emphasised the need for young voices to engage in these conversations and highlighted the vital role of education in driving change.
