On today’s episode, we are discussing the glory of God. We hear a lot about the glory of God. We often say, “God is working all things together for His own glory” or “Glorify God in everything you do”. These are all true and important statements! But what exactly is the glory of God? Why is His glory a big deal? These are valid questions. We will even confront the natural objection that people may have: if God’s after His own glory, does that mean He’s self-centered? How is that a good thing for us? We hope this conversation helps you understand that it is only right for God to be after His own glory and that His self-glorification is actually a means to true joy and delight for us.

Everyone is being discipled, the question is what is discipling us? Churches have neglected their responsibility to make disciples. The church is not a secondary platform; it is the primary platform God uses to grow people into the image of Jesus. Join us as we chat with Corey O'Grady about the importance of discipleship in our lives and how we can accomplish this command given by God.
Corey has over 15 years of vocational ministry. He has pastored in the United States and Europe. In the last 5 years, he has helped churches on every continent as they cultivate disciples in their local context.

Listener favorite, Jen Wilkin, is back to talk about her newest Bible study on the book of Revelation.
Perhaps no other book of the Bible feels as inaccessible and as intimidating to us as the very last one. The book of Revelation overflows with images and ideas that confound our modern ears. But if all Scripture is God-breathed and profitable, we should assume Revelation is as accessible and helpful as any other book of the Bible. Why don’t we see it that way?
Two thousand years ago, John’s Revelation was circulated and read aloud among seven churches in Asia Minor. Those who heard the letter understood it and drew encouragement from its message. The same can be true for you today.

We have a bit of a different episode for you this week! Shanna is interviewing Kristen. Join us as we have a conversation around singleness. Kristen shares her story, gives encouragement to those who are in the midst of waiting, and shares helpful advice for the Church as we seek to be a family and love one another well. This is a conversation that we need more of, so we hope that you will feel encouraged, seen, and loved.
We understand that dealing with disappointment can be incredibly difficult. Sometimes, we can feel absolutely devastated by unmet expectations. But then we read in Hebrews to “be content with what you have”. How do we reconcile the two? How can we be content when life is disappointing and not how we had hoped it would be? God gives us the secret to contentment no matter what our circumstances in His Word. He is good and faithful and doesn’t command us to “be content” without giving us the grace and means to walk it out.

There are so many people living with chronic illness. Our world is fractured with sin and we feel the effects regularly. The aches and pains in our bodies and of this world are a stark reminder that God created us for something more beautiful and eternal. Our body longs to be home in the true resurrected body.
Yet in the midst of suffering, we can find hope in the gospel. We can rejoice that we do not face the pain of this world alone and one day, the Lord will return and make all things new with no more grief and no more pain. In this episode, we are joined by our friend Brittany Allen, to discuss her journey with chronic illness, God’s goodness in the midst of suffering, and the hope of the gospel. We hope this episode encourages you.
Every Moment Holy Volume II:
A Liturgy for those enduring lasting pain
Where can I go, but to you, Jesus?
And who but you can come to me?
Either take this pain away, O Christ
Or enfold me in the embrace of your Spirit
And cradle me through it.
For I cannot bear it alone.
I cannot bear it alone.
In this episode, Kristen and Shanna discuss how we should view our bodies. As believers who’ve placed our eternal hope in Jesus, we’re not immune to body image struggles. They’re part of our broken world—a world that is hyper-focused on physical bodies. We are bombarded on a daily basis with images and headlines that tell us what to look like, what to eat, and how to work out. Our identity must be rooted in Christ, not in what the world or others around us tells us our bodies should look like.
