On this episode David & Crissy share the story of how Titan Solar Power was born in 2013 out of necessity to solve some major problems in the industry.

David came into this venture with 20+ years of sales experience leading up to him being in an in home solar sales manager, which is where he first was introduced to the solar industry.

Nearly 10 years ago the residential solar industry was very different than it is today. Almost everything was bootstrapped and leaders across the industry were doing their best to figure out how to make things work as seamlessly as possible to provide a great experience for everyone involved in the process, despite that not always being the case.

Just like at the beginnings of any new industry scaling in ways never before seen, volume exposed problems that needed clear and immediate solutions.

It was at this point that Titan was launched and the vision began to came to fruition. As you will hear they learned quite a bit along the way and are still learning and receiving feedback on a daily basis.

When Crissy joined the team she filled a vital role from the very beginning. Crissy handled and scaled process after process learning everything she could about the business to make sure that the internal side could support all of the sales growth that was happening from sales dealers that started to flock in from all over the country.

You will get the sense during this episode that Riley has a unique ability to see the field, get the right people into the right seats, and the plays that need to be made in order for the vision to be executed.

As you will hear on this episode Shawn is one of the most real, raw, and vulnerable people I’ver ever met. His story will captivate you and inspire you to want to continue to follow along with his journey.

Growing up the mother of a drug addict and never having met his biological father until he was 25 years old, Shawn was bounced around from foster family to foster family until he was eventually adopted.

The only thing that Shawn knew about his biological father was that he was a military man, which is what prompted him to follow in his footsteps.

After completing a tour in Iraq and serving 6 years in the Army he was then offered a contracting position training Central African soldiers in the Congo at only 23 years old. He was one of the youngest people to ever be offered a position like this.

When his time in the military wrapped up he was reintegrated back into American society without much of a purpose, PTSD, and more money than he ever had from his lucrative government contracting work.

What happens to Shawn when he gets back from serving was humbling for him to say the least…

As you will hear throughout this episode Shawn’s story really is one of perseverance and self awareness. Without these two characteristics it’s safe to say that Shawn would not have become the person he is today.

Time and time again he was tested and was forced to start over.

With how Shawn grew up he should have been nothing more than a statistic, but he was determined to not be that person no matter how many times he got close to becoming one.

Now Shawn is making it his mission to help others to understand that you really can overcome anything, regardless of how you grew up or what your past is, if you just keep going and are willing to be accepting of help and guidance.

I first had the privilege of meeting Kristian at a previous company we had both worked at together. From the moment I met him it was clear that this man has an energy and passion for leadership that is truly unmatched.

He recently made a move from the company we initially met at over to the largest residential solar company in the nation.
