What is your definition of success?

Every person on this earth is unique.

Every person on this earth wants to be successful.

But what is a success?

For one person this can be a huge business with millions of euro. For another, that is just the freedom to live their lives in the country they want.

Today I want to share a thought that your success is not the same definition of the success of someone else.

Imagine that if your only thinking about challenges and negative things about life. You will fill your mindset only with negativity. That build up slowly to more negativity. At some point, this will make this person unhappy and even depressing.

Imagine that if your thinking optimistic. You have an optimistic mindset, every challenge that will cross your life will be challenged by looking at the possibilities instead of the problems. You will fill your mind with positivity and possibilities, so you are attracting a positive vibe.

In both mindset is the same power. But chose wisely what you want to have in your life. Do you want possibilities and success in life, implement an optimistic mindset. If you want to have problems and issues in your life without any outcome, then implement that negative mindset. But I’m sure nobody wants that!

Don’t punish yourself, but do a retrospective!

If it will happen that you did not achieved on of your goals, people tend to punish themselfs.

But what is the point of doing that when you failed your goal! Your only gonna feel bad about yourself! But why?

Most people, not only people who have anxiety feelings, setting goals often too far away and are making them big.

But in order to make them smart and simple, you could have a goal on the long-term like “Running a marathon in a year”.

But if you are not a person that is used to sports that often you don’t know if it is gonna work as you have planned to.

Some people are very strong and self-disciplined on this, but I don’t and maybe you are also not like that.

So you have to translate that to now and make it smaller so it is achievable and testable.

How do we break it down?

First I would write down my big goal in this way “As {name} I want to be able to {goal} in order to {reason}”.

The goal is now structured with the goal and the why. The why is super important, that describes the reason why you want to achieve this.

The good thing about having big goals is that we stretch ourselves and set ourselves to learn new skills.

After a while working on this big goals you will find yourself stressing out "how can I reach that goals" or "thinking negative by telling yourself I will never reach that goal"!

Agile means flexible of course, but the Agile way of working comes from the software development industry. Because I work as a developer, all of the things approach is with an Agile Mindset.

[AGILE MINDSET]

The Agile Mindset is not only usable in the software development industries. Because it is a mindset we can use it in our daily lives and that is fantastic.

[BREAK BIG THINGS IN SMALLER PIECES]

With an Agile approach, you try to make big things smaller. If you want to eat a pizza your just gonna cut it into pieces, because it is hard to it a pizza just in one bite.

So when having big goals it is important that we divide those goals into smaller goals. Smaller goals are easier to fulfill in a shorter amount of time. It will probably be motivated to see you're progressing each time bit by bit.
