A disciple of Christ is one who is led by the Holy Spirit -- the Spirit who led Jesus himself. Join us as we think through three questions:

1. Who is the Holy Spirit?
2. What was His role with Jesus?
3. What does He do for/with us?

A disciple is one who has an genuine trust in the Lord Jesus Christ that is actively lived out in a dynamic relationship with him and a life lived in obedience to his commands. Jesus commands his disciples to love like he loves. Therefore, a disciple must be someone who imitates the love of Christ in one’s life and among other believers.

As disciples of Christ, we are:

1. Motivated by our Love for Him.
2. Responsible for Living in Obedience to Him.
3. Characterized by these traits: Compassion, Honesty, Graciousness, Service, Generosity, Faithfulness, and Self-Controlled.

In his gospel, John defines a true disciples of Jesus as one who has a genuine and enduring trust in Christ that is expressed in a dynamic, faith-filled relationship with Jesus and lived in a life of obedience to him for his glory. In short, a disciple is one who follows Christ. Join us as we unpack this definition from John 1:35-51.
