There’s a couple different things going on in this portion of Zak’s poem. He is referencing two different parables (prophecies) from the Bible. The first is in looking at Luke 8:11, we can see that the “seed” is the word of God, and the word gives life. It’s taught that we need to have the word in our minds and in our hearts for us to grow.
