The Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run is an essential event for the city of Philadelphia. Every May, spectators cheer on 40,000 runners as they champion through the 10 mile stretch down Broad Street. Matt Cabrey, Executive Director of Select Greater Philadelphia, a council of the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia, chats with Race Director Jim Marino about the rich history of the run and how this event brings economic growth to our region by drawing in participants from all around the world.
