Have you ever wondered what the future holds? We all do from time to time. So many have come and gone who claim to know the future. God alone knows what is to come. Today we're going to see fascinating glimpse into the future of this world, when Jesus returns to reign on the earth He created.

Athletes are famous for their "comebacks". They retire, miss the game, then came back - to mixed results. We never really know when it comes to comebacks, do we? There is one comeback that we can count on to be spectacular - the return of Jesus Christ to reign on earth. That's the subject of today's broadcast as we look at Revelation chapter nineteen.

In our verse by verse study through Revelation, we reach chapter nineteen today. After all of the wrath and destruction we've read about in the last few chapters, we finally get to the really good news here in chapter nineteen. Today, we'll focus on how satan uses the commercialism of just about anything and everything to entice us and lead us into idolatry. Pastor Jim Jarrett, has already led us through the first seventeen chapters and today brings us back to chapter eighteen, where we are discussing the future fall of Babylon, that great evil empire. Considering the state of affairs in the year 2026, we are definitely living in the last days. Join us in Revelation eighteen, beginning in verse nine.

You're familiar, I'm sure, with the old expression "what goes around comes around". That's exactly what we're seeing here in Revelation eighteen. The antichrist and the false prophet and those who have chosen to follow them have had their day in the sun, so to speak, and now it's time to bring this terrible chapter in human history to a close.

There's an old saying that says "The path to oblivion often goes through a triumphal arch." That saying is a pretty accurate description of the reign of the antichrist on earth. He's had his way with mankind and now it's time for him to get his just rewards. We're studying verse by verse through Revelation, and today we reach chapter eighteen.

In Revelation chapter seventeen, verse five, we are introduced to a woman called Mystery Babylon the Great - the mother of Harlots. Who is this? Is she a world wide false religious system led by the apostate Roman Catholic Church?

As we study Revelation seventeen today, keep that in mind, because as we see the judgment of Mystery Babylon, we see the results of mankind's decision to follow and worship the antichrist instead of Jesus Christ.

There's no question that society today continues to sink to new lows when it comes to sin and the acceptance of sin. It's another sign that we're living in the last days, and today we'll continue a look at Revelation chapter seventeen and the judgment of man by God during the tribulation period. You'll notice a lot of similarities between the world of today and the world described here in Revelation seventeen.
