As we close out our very first season of “Birds Eye View”, the trio touches on a mashup of topics suggested to them by a few viewers. The crew talks what it was like growing up for them as well as comparisons to the up and coming generation. Imani then takes the conversation into the direction of high-school which introduces the idea of many different viewpoints and perspectives— some very odd lol (mostly Aliciana smh). Listen up as they talk advice, drama, and teenage life with a few twists to spice the last episode up. We’re gonna miss updating y’all every week (insert sad face emoji)…See you all next season!
This week’s episode begins with some very interesting topics surrounding the debatable importance of education and college as well as shared experiences between the three. The trio gives us their individual takes on what it means to be successful with or without schooling— as well as if it’s really needed in this day and age to get where you want to be. Aliciana poses a question that kick starts a very—interesting to say the least— discussion on “not-so-respected” jobs in our day and age and what it means for our generation and social norms. Listen along as the crew talks different perspectives, opinions, and what we think is Imani’s version of a stay in school ad!
Part two of the three-part segment for the spring break special is here ladies and gentlemen! And let me just say… this episode deserves your ears. The four teens start by giving their experiences growing up and being able to get their first taste of freedom— which then allows them to bring awareness to the dangers of the outside world as well as speak on the issues of human and child trafficking not only within our community, but also in the entertainment industry. Aliciana tells the crew about circulating pizza gate conspiracy theories while also giving us a very… questionable… storytime! They then dive into the reality of child stars and exploitation in Hollywood which comes with a whole lot of questions and not nearly enough answers.
This week, the crew has a surprise special guest... Ms. Ajah Doswell! Join the four as they talk about relationships, mental health, and the importance of knowing and finding yourself at this very tender age. These guys cover the not-so-discreet pressures of today's society and expectations we all face. This episode has a little bit of everything to get the ball rolling... so make sure you listen up!
