This episode came to be because Kaila was posting about cults on the Parent Tell Instagram, and not only did numerous people respond saying that they too are fascinated with learning about cults and how they operate, a Parent Tell listener contacted Kaila saying she was open to talking about her experience and how it shapes how she parents now as a mother herself.
This episode is an eye opener for those of us who did not grow up in extremely controlling environments, but also sets a great example of what overcoming your fears and rising above looks like. Enjoy.
